Ping’an Bridge
Located on the south side of City God Temple, Ping’an bridge was built in the Ming Dynasty by Qi Jiguang, a famous Anti Japanese general. In order to commemorate the Qi’s army's achievements in building bridges for the people and resisting the Japanese, the local prefer to call it "Qi family bridge". Due to the uneven stone slab on the bridge deck, when pedestrians cross the bridge, the bridge deck will emit the sound of "creaking", which is similar to the pronunciation of the word "auspicious" in the local dialect, Therefore the name of the bridge is "ping’an" meaning peace. The local people are willing to take a detour through the bridge when they go out so that they would have a good journey.
