The Corridor Bridge
The Corridor Bridge spans over Shihe river and connects the North Street and Caohe street. It is the only wooden structure bridge in the town, of which the shape looks like a corridor, hence the name. The City God Temple was rebuilt in Caohe street during Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. At that time, the North Street and Caohe Street on both sides of the river became more and more prosperous. There were only Tai'an bridge and Ping'an bridge connecting the two main streets, which was very inconvenient for people’s religious or commercial activities. So the local built a wooden bridge in between and a straw shack on it. Therefore, it is also called "Huimin bridge", meaning “the bridge for people’s convenience”. In 1969, the old bridge was demolished and rebuilt in 1996.
